Equipment Overview
This technology is based on the principle of gravity separation: waste copper-clad laminates are first subjected to multi‑stage crushing to achieve a specified particle size, after which air serves as the separating medium. A vibrating air‑classification process is then employed to efficiently separate copper from glass fibers and other reinforcing materials. The key advantage of this vibrating air‑classification method lies in its ability to promote the loosening, stratification, and banding of material particles on the bed surface, ultimately enabling precise sorting based on differences in density and weight.
Using this process to treat waste copper-clad laminates, the final product is copper scrap—more precisely, particles with a particle size controlled below 2 mm—achieving exceptionally high resource recovery efficiency, with an overall metal recovery rate of 95%–97%. Following electrostatic separation, the copper content in the fiber powder is ≤1.5%, and the copper content in the non‑metallic fraction collected by the dust collector is ≤1%, thereby effectively ensuring the purity of the recovered resources.
