Hammer‑type crushers and single‑shaft or double‑shaft crushers complement one another. Hammer crushers are impact‑type crushing machines: an electric motor drives the main shaft to rotate at high speed, with densely arranged, high‑strength, wear‑resistant hammer heads and hammers mounted on the shaft. When material enters the crushing chamber through the feed opening, it is subjected to the violent impact, striking, and colliding with the liner as the high‑speed hammers fling it about; the particles also collide and compress against each other, leading to fragmentation. Particles that meet the required size pass through the bottom screen and are discharged, while larger pieces remain in the chamber, continuing to be struck and crushed until they reach the specified discharge particle size and fall out automatically.
